Douglas S. (Doug) Shipley

Douglas S. (Doug) Shipley is a retired Supervisory Special Agent with Federal Bureau of Investigation. In his last assignment. He served as the Acting/Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Atlanta Division. Doug possesses over 28 years of proven management, investigative, intelligence gathering, and training/development experience with local and federal law enforcement. As a Kansas City, Missouri Police Officer, Doug was selected as a Defensive Tactics Training Instructor for the police academy. As an FBI Agent, Doug served as an Assistant Team Leader of the Houston Division’s enhanced SWAT team, the FBI’s Assistant Defensive Tactics Program Manager and a Defensive Tactics Instructor at the FBI’s Academy, Quantico, the Assistant Legal Attaché, Bridgetown, Barbados, and a Program Manager in the International Training and Assistance Unit. He provided training throughout the United States and internationally, and has facilitated the protection of dignitaries, witnesses, and numerous national/international events, including the Olympics, World Cup Soccer, and Cricket World Cup. He participated in Site Surveys, Risk Analyses, Threat Assessments, Continuity of Operations, and Table-Top Training Exercises pertaining to the security of personnel and facilities both domestically and internationally. Doug earned a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Leadership, a Master of Science in Education, specializing in Training and Performance Improvement, and a Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice. At the time of his retirement, Doug possessed a U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
